Fighting a Cold

I started to come down with a cold a couple of days ago.  With a compromised immune system, this is something I do not ever need to deal with.  Luckily, my white blood cell count has come up a little bit since coming off of the last medication I had been taking.  Hopefully, that is enough to help me fight this off.

We are staying with some friends in Twin Rivers, WI and Micki is into using essential oils (as am I).  Honestly, I didn’t even think about trying them right away (still new to using them) but she busted out a little capsule of oils she had already prepared for such an occasion.  This is day two of taking the oil blend along with some vitamin C.  Fingers crossed day three is the magic day; especially because I’m suppose to start my new chemotherapy any day now (as soon as it arrives).  Which looks like we might have to stay another day with Micki and Gregg to wait for it…..bummer!

I was feeling well enough that we made our way to Green Bay today and took a tour of Lambeau Field and their Hall of Fame Museum.  We also swung by Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers which is lovely.  It sits along Lake Michigan.  Hard to believe this giant body of water is just a lake.  They boast a campground and hiking trails nearby.  Great place to stay!

P.S. Hit me up if you want to know the oil blend we are using.  I’ll keep you posted how it worked.

Update:  my cold was gone by the end of the third day!  I feel great again.

Good that you have friends there to help take care of you. Don’t over do it.
The lighthouse looks like it’s in the forest. Hope the ships can see it…………………haha
Beautiful pix, can’t believe it’s still that nice up there when Texas is flooding. Wow!
