Today we spent the day with one of my best friends and her family as they took us to one of their favorite places in Minnesota, Duluth. This city dates back to the 1870’s, so if you are a history buff, this is a great place to visit. Sitting on Lake Superior, it has a rich history as a port city. Duluth boasts several museums worth visiting such as the Corps of Engineers Museum which is FREE!
There are dozens of old buildings that have been renovated into chic restaurants or shopping boutiques. We hung out along the North Shore letting the dogs run and play, while the hubby’s worked on their rock skipping skills. At Canal Park, we also watched the freight liner Elbeborg maneuver through the canal into the bay. It was a beautiful day and we were blessed to spend quality time with friends.
Great pix. It’s good to hear some of the history. I don’t know much about that area, but sounds like I should Google more…………………haha
Whenever you and Bud want to come visit, just give me a call!! We’ll take you up to Duluth so you can experience it for yourself. And maybe Albert will meet you here too!
